£20m Investment in Brownhills Secures Company Growth
Tom Booth took over at the Brownhills Group in October 2007 as CEO with clear instructions from shareholders. The objective was to complete a balance sheet and footprint review in order to strengthen the company and enhance it’s overall offering to the motorhome community. The culmination of this work is that the company is now able to announce a subject to contract agreement to a massive £20m financial re-engineering of the balance sheet which includes £7m of new investment and which will facilitate improvements in motorhome marques and facilities offered across all sites. The new structure focuses on sales, aftercare, finance, stock and franchising. This allows Brownhills; Europes largest motorhome retailer, to continue to build its reputation as the only major player who also chooses to operate exclusively in the motorhome sector, thereby avoiding dilution of resource and knowledge by remaining outside other sectors such as caravanning and camping.
