Swift unveiled its latest caravan ranges to a host of dealers and a few journalists on 4th July 2013 at the Willerby Grange Hotel, to make a change it was not pouring with rain although to this soft Southerner it was fairly cold.

We had a swift Challenger up until a short time ago and thought what a well made caravan it was, we swopped it for a Bessacarr Motorhome and also think that it is well built. We have just completed a five week trip around France with no real problems with the E520.

All new Swift Caravans are built using no wood in the body shell, Swift call the method “SMART” intelligent construction making the ‘vans more robust to the elements and a better investment. SMART Construction provides a Strong timber less body frame with Modern desirable looks and a leading Aerodynamic shape that is Resilient to moisture all wrapped up in a Caravan has undergone the most comprehensive Testing.

The new timber less body frame uses PURe, a strong polyurethane material that is totally impervious to water and has been proven in use. All models still comply with European Whole Vehicle Type Approval, have EN1645 grade 3 classification for heating and insulation which is the highest available and the seal of assurance from Swift’s 10 year body integrity warranty, in addition all models come with DMACK tyres, the EcoXtra tread pattern is specifically designed to provide low rolling resistance, this in turn reduces fuel consumption.

To protect their investment the future owners of any of the new range of Swift Caravans can rest assured that each model come fitted with a “Tracker Retrieve” Thatcham approved tracking system, many insurers offer discounts for trackers which could save money. Swift say of their 2014 models “We believe the new SMART construction makes the Swift brand the best designed and constructed touring caravan range on the market”

This is really only a taste of the new caravans, whether the “concept models” will be popular only time will tell, we like the colour but we think that these models will be like Marmite, you will either love them or hate them, interesting. All we can say is that we think that the new models, both motor homes and caravans are the best yet.
