SCFC-FREE COOLER BRINGS ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS
Motorhome owners who are concerned to “do their bit” for the environment are boosting sales of Webasto’s recently launched roof mount evaporative cooler – NiteCool TCC-100 – which uses water, rather than refrigerant gases to cool incoming air.
NiteCool’s innovative design stores water it has already pre-cooled, which acts as a booster to the ongoing cooling process, providing up to 850m³/h of free-blowing cooled air. This in turn allows a smaller water tank to be used, resulting in less weight and simpler/less expensive installation.
AND UNLIKE CONVENTIONAL AIR CONDITIONING UNITS ON THE MARKET, NITECOOL CAN BE OPERATED WHETHER THE MOTORHOME’S ENGINE IS RUNNING OR NOT – providing further environmental benefits from reduced exhaust emissions.
The unit features extremely low power consumption, enabling it to be operated all night long without draining the battery and can be remotely activated using a handy key fob sized infrared control.
Nite Cool’s advanced technology is ideal for retro-fitment, providing motorhomes of any age with from 600 to 1600W of cooling power, yet the smart low profile housing measures only 728 x 895 x 125mm and weighs in at just 19kg.
